Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Sunday Streets. Our 400+ volunteers make Sunday Streets possible every year by donating their time to outreach efforts, office support, and event-day staffing.

Want to help make the magic? Checkout the opportunities below and bring the joy of open space and recreation to neighborhoods across San Francisco. Not to mention it’s totally fun!

Group Volunteers

Sunday Streets is a wonderful way to volunteer with your work, church, school, or community group. We have weekday, weekend, and evening volunteer opportunities for groups of 6 or more.

Opportunities

Event-Day

Event-Day Volunteers help us with everything from setting up the route and keeping Sunday Street attendees safe at vehicle crossings to collecting surveys and conducting crowd counts. We’ve got morning and afternoon shifts, plus awesome group volunteer opportunities.

Street Team

Street Team Volunteers help us get the word out about Sunday Streets to the residents and businesses in our host neighborhoods. Street Team shifts are perfect for people who love to walk and explore neighborhoods – they’re also great for groups and volunteers looking for weekday opportunities.

Office Support

A lot of the magic of Sunday Streets is made possible by the organizing behind the scenes. Join us for a monthly movie night to help prepare event-day materials or sign-up for a regularly-scheduled data entry shift. Have technical or administrative expertise? Ask us about ways you can help remotely!
